Three Falcons Impact Record Book at Oregon

Sophomore Sean Houseworth clocked a time of 14:11.23 to place seventh in the 5000-meter run. That time is a NCAA Regional Qualifying Time and the seventh-best time in Academy history.
Freshman Brittany Morreale continued to climb up the Academy's all-time list in the women's 5000-meter run. Her sixth-place time of 17:19.23 is fifth in the program's record book.
Like Houseworth, classmate Parker Cowles moved into the all-time standings with a 30:41.70 in the 10,000-meter run. That time, which was the 12th-fastest time of the field, is ninth on the Academy's all-time list.
Senior Jason Beck posted the team's best finish of the night, as he placed fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:15.27. Junior Josh van Wyngaarden finished eighth with a time of 9:20.96, while sophomore Justin Mason rounded out the Falcons' contingent with a 13th-place time of 9:40.93.
Senior Richard Elmore picked up an eighth-place finish in the 1500-meter run behind a time of 3:52.96.
Three other Falcons also placed in the 5000-meter run. Sophomore Matt Williams and junior Ian McFarland finished 18th and 19th, respectively, with times of 14:30.94 and 14:32.10. Joe Curran placed 26th with a time of 15:02.13. In addition, junior Kenny Grosselin ran in the 10,000-meter run in 31:26.96 to finish 18th.
In the only event from the field this evening, senior Marcus Wells placed 11th in the javelin with a throw of 165'6".
