BOULDER, Colo. - The Air Force track and field team's meet at Colorado that was scheduled for today (April 7) has been cancelled, due to the winter storm the hit the Front Range overnight. Ice and snow covered the track and throwing rings, making Potts Field unmanageable and causing the CU staff to cancel the meet.
This is the second meet this season that has been cancelled due to weather. The Falcons' indoor meet at Wyoming was cancelled in February, when high winds caused the road closures of all highways to and from Laramie.
The Falcons split up for a pair of competitions next weekend. Several athletes will head to Azusa, Calif., for the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays on April 11-12, while the rest of the squad heads to Tempe, Ariz., for the Sun Angel Classic on April 13-14.
