With poor second-half shooting, the Air Force women's basketball team dropped an 86-48 road contest to TCU Saturday afternoon at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Falcons took a 20-17 lead midway through the opening period, but a 20-4 run by the Lady Frogs put TCU back on top. Air Force, which hit just 8-of-15 free throws in the first half, went into the locker room trailing 40-28. Air Force would not get any closer in the second stanza, as TCU gradually extended its advantage. While the Falcons shot just 55 percent from the foul line in the game, they also hit just 26 percent of their shots from the field in the second period. In addition, Air Force struggled taking care of the ball, committing a season-high 29 turnovers. Alecia Steele led Air Force with 12 points and eight rebounds, while sophomore Brooke Cultra added 10 points. Meanwhile, five different players scored in double figures for TCU, led by Ashley Davis with 14 points.
