Rynae Rasley Elevated to Women’s Basketball Associate Head Coach

Assistant coach Rynae Rasley was announced as Air Force Women's Basketball's newest Associate Head Coach, the program announced on Wednesday.
A proven leader with deep institutional roots, Rasley enters her fifth season of coaching basketball at the Academy and the third year of her second stint with Air Force in 2026-27. Both of Rasley's runs with the Falcons are bridged by a five-season stretch as head coach at the Air Force Academy Preparatory School.
Rasley's impact on the program throughout the years has been significant. During her tenure leading the prep school program, Rasley developed seven student-athletes who advanced to the Division I roster, including 2025-26 Mountain West All-Tournament honoree Emily Adams, Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year Jayda McNabb and junior Marissa Hargrave. Collectively, her former prep players have accounted for 65 Division I starts and contributed to multiple entries in the program's record book.
As a member of McIntyre's staff, Rasley has helped navigate the most successful stretch of women's basketball in Air Force's Division I era. During the 2024–25 season, the Falcons recorded the second-best overall record in program history at the Division I level. That season was highlighted by Jo Huntimer's program-record 150 assists, and Madison Smith being named to both All-Mountain West team and All-Defensive honoree. The Falcons shortly followed up a program-defining season with a historic finish to the 2025-26 season, earning Air Force's first three-win postseason and its first-ever Mountain West Tournament championship bid. Along with McNabb's selection as MW Defensive Player of the Year in 2025-26, both Falcon seniors Milahnie Perry and Emily Adams secured the program's first two All-Tournament selections, along with Perry earning tournament MVP.
The Falcons stamped both of Rasley's first two seasons back in Clune hosting a WNIT game in back-to-back seasons, marking the first and second times postseason basketball was played at the Academy.
