Air Force Falls To TCU, 85-50

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Air Force women's basketball team lost to TCU, 85-50, in Mountain West Conference women's basketball action Wednesday night at Meyer Coliseum. The loss drops the Falcons to 10-17 overall and 4-11 in MWC play. The Horned Frogs, who won their 400th game in program history, improved to 19-10, 12-3.
TCU raced out to a 47-26 lead capitalizing on 15 first-half turnovers by the Falcons. The Horned Frogs scored 22 points off the turnovers. Helen Roden led the Frogs with 12 points. Adrianne Ross and Jenna Lohse scored 11 points each.
Senior Pamela Findlay played her best conference game of the season for the Falcons, leading the team with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Findlay hit six of Air Force's first eight baskets in the second half.
Freshman Raimee Beck led the team with six rebounds. Junior Brooke Cultra had a team-leading two assists to go with eight points. Junior Dana Loveless provided a spark off the bench with eight points and three boards.
Air Force senior Alecia Steele did not play in the game due to a shoulder injury suffered late in the BYU game on Saturday. Junior Chasmine Jones started in place of Steele and scored six points.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, March 8, in its regular-season finale at San Diego State.
AF Notes:
- Kathleen Schjodt played a career-high 10 minutes and made her first three-point basket on her first-career three-point attempt.
- All 13 players suited up for Air Force played in the game.
