Last Meeting vs. San Diego State
The Air Force women's basketball team lost to San Diego State, 62-45, in Mountain West Conference action Wednesday night in front of a season-high crowd of 2,295 at Clune Arena. Seniors Alecia Steele and Pamela Findlay led the Falcons in scoring and rebounding. Steele scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. Findlay scored 10 and pulled down seven boards. The Falcons struggled to get their offense going, shooting 31.1 percent from the field. Meanwhile, San Diego State shot 50 percent from the field and turned 18 AFA turnovers into 20 points. Paris Johnson led the Aztecs with 18 points and seven rebounds. Quenese Davis added 10 assists and seven points and Jene Morris scored 11 points. Air Force was held to a season-low 17 points in the first half, as they trailed SDSU, 30-17, at the intermission. The Falcons did step up their play in the second half, scoring 28 points. Kim Kreke added seven points and five rebounds and Brooke Cultra returned to the starting lineup and had five rebounds.
