USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior Greg Stine was named Gymnast of the Week (USAG Division) by the College Gymnastics Association for the week of April 7. The award, which is voted on by the men's gymnastics coaches, is the sixth such career honor for Stine and the third of the season. He shared the weekly CGA award with Penn State's Casey Sandy, who earned the award for the NCAA Division.
Stine earned the honor after taking first place in the all-around and parallel bars at the recent USAG Championships, as well as earning top-three finishes on the floor exercise and still rings. The award, which covered two weeks of competition, also included Stine's third-place finish in the all-around at the MPSF Championships
Six Falcons, including Stine, will travel to Palo Alto, Calif., on April 17-19 for the 2008 NCAA Championships.
