Falcons Head to West Florida for Argonaut Invitational

The Air Force golf team returns to action March 2-3 at the Argonaut Invitational, hosted by West Florida. The tournament will take place at the Pensacola Country Club.
Last Time Out...
In its first tournament of the spring season, Air Force finished 14th at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. The Falcons fired a three-round total of 929.
Leading Air Force for the seventh time in as many tournaments this year was junior Tom Whitney, who placed tied for 38th at 223 (+7).
The Field...
Twelve teams are slated to compete in this year's tournament. The full list follows, with Golfweek/Sagarin ratings in parentheses: Air Force (167), Army, Houston Baptist, James Madison (135), Liberty (149), Ohio (177), Samford, Vanderbilt (48), Virginia (63), Washington State (84), Western Carolina (168) and West Florida.
In the Conference Rankings...
Junior Tom Whitney is currently ranked in the top 10 of the Mountain West Conference for lowest stroke average this season. Whitney is eighth in the league with a stroke average of 71.71.
Meanwhile, Air Force rates seventh in the MWC with a team stroke average of 296.14.
