Bolt Named To Mountain West Baseball 10th Anniversary Team

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Former Air Force baseball standout Karl Bolt was named to the Mountain West Conference Baseball 10th Anniversary Team, announced today by the conference office. Bolt was one of 13 players selected to represent the best in MWC baseball through its first 10 years as a conference.
A four-year letterwinner from 2004-07, Bolt was a first team all-MWC selection in 2007 when he batted .354 with eight homers and 47 RBIs. As a first baseman and outfielder, Bolt batted .334 for his career, hitting 33 home runs and driving in 148 runs. His 232 career hits ranks fourth all-time at the Academy.
In 2007, Bolt was a 15th round draft pick of the Philadelphia Phillies, becoming just the fourth Falcon ever to be selected in the MLB draft. Bolt spent the summer of 2007 playing for the Gulf Coast League Phillies, a GCL Rookie League affiliate of the Phillies, batting .257 with a league-leading eight homers and 95 total bases. Bolt played for Lakewood BlueClaws, a Phillies' Single A affiliate in 2008, batting .266 with 15 doubles, five homers and 35 RBIs.
The Stockton, Calif., native is still active in the Air Force and is currently an operations officer at MacDill, AFB, Fla.
