Zach Nordahl Moves into Steeplechase Top-10

WALNUT, Calif. - With a career-best time of 9:08.59 in the 3000-meter steeplechase, junior Zachary Nordahl moved into ninth on the Academy's all-time record book, as several members of the Air Force track and field team opened action at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday, April 16, in Walnut, Calif. Nordahl finished second in the "open" division.
Nordahl was one of two Falcons to compete in the `open' division of the 3000-meter steeplechase, as senior Justin Mason placed seventh with a time of 9:14.22. Fellow senior Matt Williams competed in the "Olympic Development" division of the steeplechase, clocking a time of 9:14.94 to finish eighth among collegiate runners.
Please note, three members of the squad will be competing in the 10,000-meter run, which is scheduled to be held at 10:55 p.m. (PST).
