Marin-Salcedo Wins Two at All-American Pre-Qualifying Tourney

Two players from the Air Force men's tennis team competed in the pre-qualifying singles draw at the 2010 D'Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships Saturday at the University of Tulsa. Freshman Lucas Marin-Salcedo advanced to the third round with a pair of wins while sophomore Lance Wilhelm bowed out in the first round.
Marin-Salcedo won his first match over Ryan Cheung of UC Irvine, 7-5, 6-1, then went the distance to defeat Jacob Straus of Oklahoma, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, in the second round. He will face Vitor Manzini of Texas Tech on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (CT) in the third round. Wilhelm, meanwhile, dropped his opening round match to Cameron Ahari of North Carolina, 2-6, 7-6(2), 6-1.
