Air Force Golfers Head to ReBath Snowman Getaway

The Air Force golf team returns to action Feb. 22-23 at the ReBath Snowman Getaway, hosted by Washington State. The 54-hole tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,218-yard Cattail Course at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. The first two rounds will take place on Monday, with the final round of 18 holes played on Tuesday. Each day will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
Last Time Out...
The Air Force golf team opened the 2010 spring season at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational Feb. 15-16. The Falcons, led by senior Tom Whitney, finished 13th overall. Whitney placed tied for sixth in the individual standings with a 4-over-par 217.
The Field...
The field for this week's tournament features 13 teams. The complete field, with Golfweek/Sagarin rankings in parentheses, follows: Air Force (149), Boise State (172), Bradley, Gonzaga (179), Idaho (147), Missouri (72), Northern Colorado (195), Portland (175), Seattle, UMKC (158), Utah Valley, Villanova and Washington State (64).
In the Rankings...
According to the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings (updated Feb. 14), senior Tom Whitney is ranked at 153 among individuals in college golf. Meanwhile, his season stroke average of 71.22 is the fourth-best in the Mountain West Conference.

The Falcons return to action March 5-6, when they travel to Laredo, Texas, for the Border Olympics.
