Wilson Named Women's Soccer MVP

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -Air Force women's soccer coach Larry Friend announced his team awards for the 2009 season. Sophomore defender Cassie Wilson earned the team's Most Valuable Player award.

Wilson, a Spring, Texas, native, appeared and started all 18 games as the lead back for the Falcons this past season. Wilson also took home team Defensive MVP honors as well.

Sophomore midfielder Bridgett Murphy earned team Offensive MVP honors. A native of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Murphy earned All-Mountain West Conference honors for the second-consecutive season.

Freshman Britni Carroll earned Most Improved Player honors and senior forward Susan Finch earned Most Inspirational.
