Air Force Announces Women's Soccer Class of 2014

The Air Force Academy women's soccer team welcomes 13 freshmen to the class of 2014, announced today by second-year head coach Larry Friend. The class of 2014 arrived for Basic Cadet Training on Thursday, June 24, marking the beginning of the four-year journey to become officers in the United States Air Force.
"We have assembled a strong group of student-athletes," Friend said. "This is a talented class that will be significant additions to the team. I look forward to working with these young women over the next four years as they develop into leaders on and off the pitch."
The class of 2014 represents players from 10 states, including five from California.
The Falcons begin practices on Sunday, August 1 in preparation for the 2010 season. Air Force opens the season on August 15 with an exhibition at Colorado. The regular season kicks-off Friday, Aug. 20 vs. CSU-Pueblo.
