Falcons Lead Service Academy Tournament After Two Rounds

The Air Force men's golf team holds a five stroke lead after the first two rounds of the 2011 Service Academy Golf Classic Monday at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. The Falcons, in search of their 15th consecutive Service Academy title, have a two-round total of 622, five shots better than Army and eight better than Navy.Air Force sophomore Kyle Westmoreland holds a one-shot lead after two rounds with a six-over par total of 150. He shot 76 in the first round and 74 in the second round and leads Matt Philie of Army by one shot. Falcon senior Robert Belz is two shots back after holding a five-shot lead after a 71 in the first round, but fired an 81 in the second round.
Air Force has not lost this tournament since 1994 and it was not played in 2007 and '08. The third and final round will be played Tuesday morning.
