Falcons Travel to Seattle Pacific for Conference Dual

The Air Force women's gymnastics team remains on the road this weekend, traveling to Seattle, Wash., for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dual meet with Seattle Pacific on Friday, Feb. 25. The Falcons, who defeated SPU earlier this season at the Academy, will close out their conference dual season at 7 p.m. (PST) at Brougham Pavilion.

MEET INFORMATION
The Falcons' meet at Seattle Pacific will feature live stats and a webcast. Information on both broadcasts can be found at Seattle-Pacific's website - www.spufalcons.com. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
SCOUTING THE OTHER FALCONS
Seattle Pacific recorded a score over 190 points for the fifth straight meet, while finishing third at Illinois State's quad meet on Feb. 18. SPU is currently ranked second in the MPSF with a regional qualifying average of 189.515 - a mark just 0.175 ahead of Air Force. Four gymnasts are ranked among the conference's top six, including two on the floor exercise.
LAST TIME WE MET
On Jan. 22, Air Force recorded a then-season-best team score of 191.475 in its home opener to defeat Seattle Pacific (190.425). With career-high individual scores, Brittany Dutton won the uneven bars (9.775) and all-around (38.625), while Samantha Jones placed first on the floor exercise (9.725).
CONFERENCE ROUNDUP
Air Force ranks third in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, with a regional qualifying average of 189.340. Individually, Brittany Dutton is ranked second on the vault (9.630 RQS) and all-around (37.755), while standing third on the uneven bars (9.9.630) and fifth on the floor exercise (9.645). Linnaea Hance is ranked third on the balance beam (9.475) and fifth on the uneven bars (9.575), while Samantha Jones is ranked fourth on the vault (9.595) and Lisa Wong is ranked sixth on the beam (9.425).
ROUND ONE GOES TO THE EAGLES
Air Force dropped a 191.500-188.175 decision to Eastern Michigan on Feb. 19, during the first of three dual meets between the two schools. Lisa Wong tied for first on the balance beam (9.550) and Jen Larsen was the runner-up on the floor exercise with a career-best matching score of 9.625.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
Air Force returns to the Academy on Wednesday, March 2, for a rematch with Eastern Michigan. The two schools will also face off on Saturday, March 5. Both matches are slated to begin at 6 p.m., at the Cadet West Gym. During Saturday's match, the Falcons will honor their four seniors - Holland Davis, Brittany Dutton, Lisa Wong and team manager Ashley Green.
