Air Force Women's Soccer Announces 2011 Fall Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Head coach Larry Friend announced the Air Force women's soccer 2011 schedule today. The 20-game regular season schedule features 12 home games, including three consecutive Mountain West Conference to conclude the regular season.
The Falcons open the 2011 season on Friday, Aug. 19, hosting The Colorado School of Mines and Sunday, Aug. 21, hosting CSU-Pueblo. Prior to the regular season opening weekend, the Falcons will host a scrimmage against Colorado on Friday, Aug. 12.
Air Force's first road match of the season is Aug. 26 vs. Gonzaga at the Boise Classic. The Falcons also take on Eastern Washington at the Boise Classic on Aug. 28.
The Falcons then play five-consecutive home matches beginning Sept. 2 vs. Northern Colorado. The following weekend has AFA taking on Weber State on Sept. 9 and Cleveland State on Sept. 11. Air Force wraps up its home stand with matches against Arkansas on Sept. 16 and Fresno State on Sept. 18.
Sept. 23 & 25 has the Falcons in Valparaiso, Ind., where they will take on IUPUI on the 23rd and Valparaiso on the 25th.
The Falcons conclude non-conference play with a pair of home matches Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. Air Force takes on Nebraska-Omaha on the 30th and Northern Arizona on the 2nd.
Air Force opens Mountain West Conference play Oct. 8, at new conference-rival Boise State. The Falcons play two more road games at TCU, Oct. 14 and New Mexico, Oct. 16.
The Falcons play their three final games at home, hosting UNLV on Oct. 21, San Diego State on Oct. 23 and wrapping up with Wyoming on Oct. 29.
The 2011 MWC Championship tournament its tentatively scheduled for Nov. 2-5 in Albuquerque, N.M.
