Maiya Perich and Ayesha Hein Named to All-Tournament Team

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Maiya Perich and freshman Ayesha Hein were named to the all-tournament team of the Kristen Dickmann Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 27. The pair paced the Falcons during the season-opening weekend, which included a sweep over service academy rival Navy. It is the first such honor for both players.
Perich, the team's libero, posted a team-high 26 digs (2.89 per set), while adding a pair of service aces. Hein had a stellar debut weekend for the Blue and Silver, accounting for a team-leading 26 kills, .333 hitting percentage, seven service aces and five total blocks.
Perich, Hein and the rest of the Air Force volleyball team return to action on Tuesday, Aug. 30, when it hosts in-state rival Northern Colorado at 7 p.m.
