
Air Force Drops Sunday Game at SIUE

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Air Force women's basketball (1-3) dropped a 86-51 ballgame at SIU-Edwardsville (2-2) in non-conference action Sunday afternoon at Vadalabene Center.
Junior forward Missy Byrd led the Falcons with 10 points scored. Gwen Adams paced four Cougars in double-figures, with a game-high 15 points. SIUE held a 52-30 advantage in rebounds and scored 44 points in the paint.
The Falcons shot 34 percent from the field (18-for-53) and hit four three-point baskets. Senior Lindsey Lewis and freshman Cortney Porter added nine points each and senior Jimi Blagowsky scored eight. Porter led the Falcons with four assists.
Four Falcons had five rebounds each, including junior Lindsey Stimeling who had a team-high two blocked shots. Sophomore Sarah Falvey played her first-career game for AFA, knocking down a jump shot on her first-career shot attempt.
The Falcons return to action Tuesday, Nov. 25, at service academy rival Army.
