
Air Force Drops Wednesday Game At San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Air Force women's basketball (1-17, 0-7 Mountain West) dropped a 70-47 contest at San Diego State (6-11, 3-3 MW) in Mountain West action Wednesday night at Viejas Arena. Senior Jimi Blagowsky led the Falcons with 15 points scored.
San Diego State had three players with double-digits in scoring, led by forward Erimma Amarikwa, who had 13 points to go with a game-high nine rebounds. McKynzie Fort and Lexy Thorderson added 12 points each for the Aztecs.
Blagowsky hit three, three-point baskets to go with three rebounds. Senior Lindsey Lewis was the other Falcon reaching double-digits, scoring 12 points, including a 7-for-8 night at the free throw line.
Freshman Cortney Porter added six points and game-high's of four assists and three steals. Junior Madeleine Philpot added six points eight rebounds. Senior Linda Kuster made her collegiate debut for the Falcons, seeing two minutes of action in a reserve role.
The Falcons were out-shot from the field 42.4 percent to 28.6, while the Aztecs held a 32-12 advantage in second-chance points.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Jan. 24, at Boise State. Tipoff, at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho, is 2 pm.
