
Alex Evans Joins Staff as Director of Video Operations

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Alex Evans joins the Air Force women's basketball staff as the Director of Video Operations, announced by head coach Chris Gobrecht. Evans comes to the Academy from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Evans recently completed an internship in advanced media while at the RMAC. At the RMAC, Evans was also the production assistant for the RMAC Showcase, which aired regularly on the Altitude Network. Evans' duties also included highlight videos for the conference's YouTube channel, editing packages for the RMAC Showcase, writing scripts, and researching footage for the show.
Evans has also worked for PBS and KDVR Fox 31 in Denver. At PBS, Evans had responsibilities that included production assistant, director and technical director positions which included audio and camera work. At KDVR Fox 31, Evans served as a production intern, assisting with script writing for the "Colorado Everyday" show, research and live and daily production assistance.
A 2014 graduate of CSU-Pueblo, Evans played for the ThunderWolves basketball program, lettering all four years. As a senior, she earned RMAC All-Conference honors.
"We are very happy to be able to add the position of video coordinator to our staff, and Alex Evans will do a great job," Gobrecht said. "Alex is very passionate about two things; basketball and film! Her talents will do much to provide better coaching for our players and more video representations of Air Force women's basketball for the promotion of our team. This is an important step in building a highly competitive women's basketball program."
Evans is a native of Louisville, Colo., and a graduate of Monarch High School. She was a first-team all-state basketball player for Monarch, earning Boulder Daily Camera's "Outstanding Girl's Basketball Player of the Year" honors in 2010.
