Air Force Alum Tom Whitney Wins Nevada Open

MESQUITE, Nev. – Former Air Force golfer Tom Whitney claimed the fifth professional title of his career on Thursday, Nov. 12, when he finished first at the Nevada Open in Mesquite. The 2010 Academy graduate carded a three-round score of 202 (69-67-66) to finish 14-under par.

With his 14-under par score, Whitney bettered the field by two strokes.

The annual tournament was held at the CasaBlanca Golf Club and Palms Golf Club in Mesquite. Scores and additional information is available at www.NVOpen.com.
