
Air Force Drops Wednesday Contest at Nevada

RENO, Nev. - Air Force women's basketball (2-25, 1-15 Mountain West) dropped a 74-42 contest at Nevada (8-19, 5-10 MW) in Mountain West action Wednesday afternoon at Lawlor Events Center. Junior Madeleine Philpot led the Falcons with a career-high 15 points.
Air Force was out-rebounded 52-29 in the game. Nevada senior center Mimi Mugedi, had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Philpot hit 6-of-12 shots from the field and also led the Falcons with five rebounds and three steals. Freshman Cortney Porter added 10 points and five rebounds. Senior Lindsey Lewis and freshman Dee Bennett chipped in with seven points each. Lewis and sophomore Sydney Graham had three assists each.
The Falcons kept the game close in the first half, trailing 36-26 at the break. The Wolf Pack went on to outscore the Falcons 38-16 in the second half.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Feb. 28, at Utah State. Tipoff, at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, is 2 pm.
