Air Force downs CSU-Pueblo in men's tennis

Air Force defeated CSU-Pueblo, 7-0, Monday afternoon in a non-conference men's tennis match at the Academy Indoor Tennis Courts. The victory is the team's fifth straight and improves the Falcons to 8-3 this season, including a 6-2 mark at home.
The Falcons swept all three doubles points to open the match. Grant Taylor and Lucas Fumagalli defeated Trung Le and Reitter Gael, 6-2 at No. 1. Dillon Launius and Mark Kite were 6-3 winners at No. 2 over Luke Lipinski and Steven Alcala. Max Olson and Nicholas Carpenter defeated Brenden Sullinger and Marcello Chaparro, 6-2, at No. 3.
The Falcons swept the singles, winning all six in straight sets. Taylor defeated Le, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 while Fumagalli was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at No. 2 over Gael. Max Olson won 6-2, 6-1 over Lipinski at No. 3 and Carptenter defeated Chaparro, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4. Kite defeated Alcala, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 5 while Launius defeated Daniel Hawk, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 6.
The Falcons return to action at home this Sunday, March 8, against Metro State at 10 a.m.
