
Falcons defeat Metro State 7-0 Sunday

Air Force defeated Metro State, 7-0, in a non-conference men's tennis match Sunday at the Academy. The victory improves the team's winning streak to six matches and pushes their record to 9-3 overall this season.
The Falcons swept the doubles point. Grant Taylor and Lucas Fumagalli were 6-4 winners at No. 1 while Grant Parks and Max Olson won 6-1 at No. 2. Dillon Launius and Mark Kite won 6-1 at No. 3 singles. The Falcons won all six singles matches in straight sets. Taylor was a 7-6, 6-4 winner at No. 1 while Fumagalli won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 2. Olson won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 and Parks was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at No. 4. Nicholas Carpenter won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 while Kite was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 6.
The Falcons play at UC-Irvine on Friday, March 13 and take on service academy rival Army in Irvine, Calif., on Sunday, March 15.
