Falcon Women's Basketball Hosts Pink Game Saturday

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force Women's Basketball is holding their annual Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness and celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, January 30th when the Falcons battle San Jose State at 6 pm in Clune Arena.
The first 250 fans at the game will receive a free pink Air Force rally towel. Fans are also encouraged to wear pink to the game to help the team "Pink Out" Clune Arena.
National Girls and Women in Sports day was established by Congress in 1987 to recognize the progress of girls and women in sports, and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women.
To celebrate NGWSD, Air Force Women's Basketball will be holding a pre-game sports clinic for youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. The clinic is free to attend, and athletes from women's soccer, women's basketball, and volleyball will be running stations to teach children the basics of their sports.
The clinic will be held in the Cadet Gym from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. The first 200 clinic participants will receive a free tee-shirt, and all clinic participants get one free ticket to the game. All clinic participants must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Parents/guardians can purchase tickets at the group rate of $2.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for youth 15 and under. Groups of 10 or more please call the ticket office at 719-472-1895.
