Landon Tomcho Wins on First Night of WAC Main Event

SEATTLE, Wash. – Junior Landon Tomcho captured a 139-pound victory last night (Jan. 29), as four members of the Air Force boxing team opened competition at the Washington Athletic Club's annual Main Event in Seattle.
Tomcho earned a unanimous decision over Carlos Morles of UCLA.
Senior Mateus Arcano dropped a decision to Washington's Brandon Aguirre at 119 pounds, while classmate Jacob Berggren lost a decision to Miami-Ohio's Adam Salguero in the night's other 139-pound bout. Junior Adam Sumait fell in a 125-pound bout to UC Davis' Mac Pham.
The Falcons return to the ring for the second night of the WAC Main Event on Saturday, Jan. 30.
