USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force Academy, in conjunction with The Make-A-Wish Foundation, will hold a special event on Thursday evening at Falcon Field, the home of Air Force baseball.
The Academy, with assistance from the baseball program and the USAFA Fire Department, will look to fulfill a child’s wish of playing a baseball game which pits the Minions cartoon characters against Firefighters. The child (Cory), is a Colorado Springs native, who suffers from Short Bowel Syndrome (intestinal failure). It is his wish for a baseball game between the Minions and Firefighters.
The game will take place at approximately 4:45 pm MT at Falcon Field, located at the USAFA Athletic Fields. Cory will arrive at the field on a Fire Engine and will partake in a three-inning game on the field. A food truck and popcorn will be available for all fans in attendance. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to cheer on Cory as his wish gets granted.
General public wishing to attend, please enter the Academy through the North Gate and enter before the gate closes to the public at 5 pm.
