Women's tennis concludes action at SMU Invitational

Air Force completed the final day of the SMU Invitational Sunday in Dallas, Texas. The Falcons won three singles matches on the final day while losing two in doubles.
Freshman TJ Fumagalli took place in the #3 singles bracket with a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Walker from ACU. Meredith Laskey took sixth place in #6 singles with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Hebard of Marquette. Elizabeth Barnickel defeated Gehre of Texas Arlington, 6-2, 6-1 to win the consolation bracket in No. 2 singles. The complete results are below.
"This was a good spot to be this weekend," Air Force head coach Kim Gidley said. "We had some really tough matches and it was a great opportunity to be put in some tough situations before our ITA Regional tournament. I only look for great things to come from this weekend."
Air Force travels to the ITA Regional Championships this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M.
