Air Force Falls at Wyoming

Feb. 3, 2016 LARAMIE, Wyo. - Air Force women's basketball dropped a 84-56 Mountain West contest at Wyoming Wednesday night at Arena Auditorium. Sophomore Dee Bennett led Air Force with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Wyoming (11-10, 4-7 MW) had five players reach double-figures in scoring. Forward Marta Gomez led the Cowgirls with 19 points, hitting five 3 point baskets on the night.
A slow start had the Falcons playing catch-up for most of the night. Wyoming led 24-7 after the first quarter and 44-18 at halftime. The Falcons increased their scoring each and every quarter, finishing with 25 points in the fourth quarter for their highest scoring quarter of the season.
Bennett notched her second double-double of the season, tying career-highs in both points and rebounds. Sarah Cantu and Sarah Fotsch joined Bennett in double-figures scoring, as both scored 12 points. Fotsch was 5 of 7 from the field and Cantu hit a three and made five three throws.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Feb. 7, at Boise State. Tip time, at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho, is 2 pm.
