The 11th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team travels to Palo Alto, Calif., this Saturday (April 2) for the 2016 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. The 24th-annual conference meet, which includes three of the top-five teams in the nation, will be held at Burnham Pavilion and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. (PT).

MEET INFORMATION
The 2016 MPSF Championships will be held at Burnham Pavilion on the campus of Stanford University and feature Air Force, California, Oklahoma and Stanford. Action is slated to get underway at 4:00 p.m. (PT). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors.

LOOKING AT THE COMPETITION
The Falcons' opponents at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships include three of the nation's top-five teams. Top-ranked Oklahoma, the defending NCAA champion, currently leads the nation with a four-score average of 449.050, while Stanford is ranked second (442.733) and California is tied for fifth (433.900). Individually, the MPSF has three national leaders, including the Falcons' own Chase Cannon (high bar, 15.383). Stanford's Akash Modi (all-around, 89.783) and Oklahoma's Yul Moldauer (parallel bars, 15.900) also lead the NCAA heading into the conference championship weekend.
HISTORY 101
Oklahoma has claimed four straight MPSF titles – and 13 of the last 16. Stanford (2009, 2011) and California (2004) are the only schools to interrupt the Sooners' run.
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Highlighted by a #1 ranking from Chase Cannon, three Falcons are listed among the nation's top 12 in four total events. Cannon currently leads the NCAA on the high bar with a four-score average of 15.383, while Tim Wang is listed second on the pommel horse with a 15.483 average. Wang is also ranked eighth on the vault (15.183) and Denis Aurelius is ranked 12th on the still rings (15.083). Backed by #7 rankings on the pommel horse (71.133) and still rings (72.617), Air Force is listed among the top 10 in three of the six individual events and hold a #11 team ranking (426.933).
