Air Force Duo Named Academic All-Conference

All Air Force Academy home and away intercollegiate athletic events will be held as scheduled during the government shutdown. Funding for these events, along with travel/logistical support will be provided by the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC). Updates to this website will be significantly reduced and delayed. There will be no video streaming of home athletic events.

WOODLAND, Calif. – Two members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team received academic honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation this morning, as executive director Al Beaird announced the list of 2016 MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.

The Falcons were represented on the conference's All-Academic list by senior Denis Aurelius (Plain City, Ohio) and sophomore Jonathon Fornoff (Bartlett, Ill.). It is the second straight selection for Aurelius and the first for Fornoff.

To be considered for an All-Academic selection, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution, and have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
