Air Force Volleyball Announces 2016 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- Highlighted by 15 home contests, the Air Force volleyball team announced its schedule for the upcoming 2016 season this afternoon. The Falcons' full 31-match schedule includes four tournaments and an 18-match Mountain West schedule. Due to the renovation of Cadet East Gym, all home matches will be played in Clune Arena this season.
2016 Air Force Volleyball Schedule
Air Force, under the direction of first-year head coach Marc Swindle, opens the 2016 campaign hosting Jacksonville State, Montana State and Grand Canyon at the Falcon Classic, in Honor of Amy Svoboda, over the Aug. 26-27 weekend. The Falcons will then face Nicholls State, Louisiana and Alabama A&M at the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic in Lafayette, La., on Sept. 2-3, before traveling to Fullerton, Calif., on Sept. 8-10 to take on Cal State Fullerton, Weber State, Colgate and The Citadel at the Fullerton Classic. Air Force closes out its non-conference slate at home on Sept. 15-17, when it hosts Northern Colorado, Georgetown and Southern Utah in the Air Force Invitational.
The 18-match conference slate, which begins for the Falcons at New Mexico on Sept. 24, will see Air Force play home-and-home series with Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Nevada, New Mexico, UNLV and Utah State, a home match with Wyoming (Nov. 16) and a road contest at Colorado State (Nov. 19).
