Air Force Women's Basketball Announces 2016-17 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's basketball released its 2016-17 schedule. The 29-game schedule features 15 home contests, including the Air Force Classic in December.
Air Force plays 11 non-conference games, six at home.
The conference schedule format for the 11-member lineup includes eight home-and-home series and two one-time games. Each institution will play nine home contests and make nine road trips during the conference portion of the season. This is the fourth year that the MW has utilized the 18-game format since expanding to its current membership in 2013-14. Air Force plays home-and-home series with eight conference opponents. The Falcons play one game hosting Colorado State and one game at New Mexico.
The Falcons open the regular season with an exhibition game against Western State on Sunday, Nov. 6. Air Force's regular season begins in-state with a weekend road trip on Friday, Nov. 11, at Denver and Sunday, Nov. 13 at Colorado. The home-opener is Nov. 19 hosting Weber State.
Air Force hosts its annual Air Force Classic, Dec. 2-3, at Clune Arena. The classic features Vanderbilt, Utah Valley and SIUE. Air Force will play Vanderbilt on Dec. 2 and Saturday's action will feature a consolation and championship game.
Mountain West competition for the Falcons is set to begin on Thursday, December 29 and concludes on Friday, March 3. League play will determine the seeding for the 2017 Mountain West Women's Basketball Championship held March 6-8 & 10 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
