
Men's Gymnastics Releases 2017 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Meets against its two service academy rivals highlight an impressive home schedule for the Air Force men's gymnastics team, which released its 2017 competition schedule this afternoon. The Falcons, under the direction of second-year head coach Jeff Robinson, will host four meets at the Academy's Cadet West Gym.
2017 Air Force Men's Gymnastics Schedule
Air Force opens the season on Saturday, Jan. 14, when it hosts the Rocky Mountain Open – a meet that will include defending NCAA champion Oklahoma – for the 36th consecutive year. A home meet against Stanford, the national runner-up from 2016, on Feb. 4, is bookended by competitions against Army West Point (Jan. 28) and Navy (Mar. 18).
The Falcons will also face the their service academy rivals at the All-Academy Championships in San Antonio, Texas, on Feb. 11, before traveling to Navy for a triangular meet with the Midshipmen and William & Mary on March 10.
The squad will also travel to Minnesota (Jan. 21), Oklahoma (Feb. 25), California (Mar. 4) and Illinois-Chicago (Mar. 12) during the regular season, while select individuals will compete at the prestigious Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas on Feb. 16-18.
Air Force begins the championship portion of its season on March 31, when it travels to Seattle, Wash., for the two-day USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships – an event the Falcons have won during each of the last seven seasons. The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships will be held in Berkeley, Calif., on April 8, while the 2017 campaign will conclude at the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships in West Point, N.Y., on April 20-22.
