
Falcons Land Six on MW All-Academic Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer placed six cadet-athletes on the 2016-17 Mountain West All-Academic Team for the fall sports season, announced today by the conference office. Senior Meredith Reisinger led the way with her fourth conference all-academic honor.
Reisinger, a civil engineering major, maintains a 3.38 grade-point average. Juniors Alex Kahalley (3.21 - management) and Angela Karamanos (3.00 - systems engineering) and sophomore Kaitlyn Cook (3.76 - biology) earned their second honors.
Sophomore Jennifer Hiddink (3.18 - foreign area studies - political science) and freshman Kasey Stavig (3.23 - management) earned their first honors.
A league-record 614 student-athletes have been named to the fall 2016 Academic All-Mountain West team, the Conference announced today. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball. The mark surpasses the previous Conference record of 571 fall-semester honorees, set during the 2015-16 academic year.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
