EVERETT, Wash. – Air Force senior Tim Wang captured his third-straight USAG title on the pommel horse this evening (March 25), as members of the ninth-ranked men's gymnastics team competed in the individual event finals of the 2017 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships. By placing within the top-six of their respective events, six Falcons received USAG All-America distinction.
Wang scored a 14.100 to win the pommel horse by one-half point and become the first gymnast in Academy history to win three consecutive USAG titles in the same event. The senior, who successfully defended his all-around title last night, captured USAG All-America honors on five events tonight. Wang earned runner-up honors on the still rings (13.850) and vault (14.450), while finishing third on the parallel bars (13.750) and high bar (13.050).

Senior Chase Cannon tied for fourth on the pommel horse (13.050), while sophomores Eric Klein and Christian Kalustian earned the same placements on the floor exercise (13.700) and vault (14.100), respectively. Junior Fletcher Braunton rounded out the Falcons' lineup of USAG All-American finishers, as he scored a 13.400 to finish sixth on the still rings.
The Falcons are off from competition next weekend and return to action on Saturday, April 8, when they travel to Berkeley, Calif., for the 2017 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships.
