Air Force hosts New Mexico

This week: Air Force closes out the regular season Saturday, April 22, by hosting New Mexico at Noon. The match will be at 10 a.m. at the Cadet Gymnasium Indoor Tennis Courts.
Last week: Air Force split a pair of conference road matches. The Falcons beat Colorado State, 5-2, Friday in Fort Collins and lost at Wyoming, 5-2, Saturday in Laramie.
Eight in a row: Air Force has clinched a winning record this season which is the program's eighth straight, a first at the Division I level for the program.
Forlini sets record: Senior Chloe Forlini became the winningest player in school history earlier this season. She became the program's all-time leader in combined singles and doubles wins with her doubles win over Pacific. Forlini has 196 career combined wins to surpass the record of 170 set by Natasha Rizvi from 2011-15.
She is No. 1 in school history in career singles wins with 105. She surpassed the record 88 set by Sarah Cassman from 2007-11. Forlini has a 105-41 career singles record and a 90-44 career doubles mark. She is 29-12 overall in singles this season and needs just one more win to become the first player in school history with two 30-win seasons. She had a then-school-record 33 in 2015.
Fumagalli sets records: Freshman TJ Fumagalli has set a pair of single-season programs records. Fumagalli surpassed the program record for singles win in a season with 37, breaking the record of 33 set by Chloe Forlini in 2015. Fumagalli has 75 combined singles and doubles wins. She is 37-3 overall in singles, including an undefeated 26-0 mark this spring in duals. Fumagalli is 38-9 overall in doubles, including a 22-3 mark this spring.
Rankings: Senior Chloe Forlini is ranked seventh in the Mountain Region rankings in singles. Her ranking is the highest for a singles player in school history. For the first time in program history, the Falcons have a No. 1 ranking. Freshman TJ Fumagalli and senior Jocelle Rudico are ranked No. 1 doubles in the Mountain Region.
Head Coach Kim Gidley: Kim Gidley is in her 19th season as head coach of the women's tennis team at the Air Force Academy. The first civilian head coach in the 37-year history of the program, Gidley became the winningest coach in the history of the program in 2003 with her 76th victory. She recorded her 100th career victory during the 2005-06 season against South Dakota State and her 200th against Seattle University in 2014-15. She has a 259-244 career record. Gidley has led the Falcons to seven straight winning seasons which is a first in the Division I era (1996).
