Air Force Fencing Dominates Falcon Open

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force fencing had several strong performances at the Falcon Open this Sat.-Sun., Nov. 17-18. The Falcons took first place in eight events over the two-day competition at Center Gym.
Seven different Falcons won events over the weekend, including four events by three freshmen.
Freshman Nestor Levin swept the men's epee, winning both the junior men's and senior men's epee. The Falcons swept the men's senior events, as senior Cameron Sullivan won the senior men's epee and freshman Will Nikolai won the senior men's foil.
The Falcon women won two events in the juniors and two in the senior events. Sophomore Mackensie Nechanicky won the junior womens foil and freshman Erin Shea won the junior women's saber. On the senior side, sophomore Kaitlyn Guo won the senior women's foil and junior Leanne Singleton-Comfort won the senior women's saber.
Air Force returns to action Dec. 14-16 at the Div. I/II NAC's in Cincinatti, Ohio.
