Falcons travel to RIT for two-game series

This Week: Air Force (6-6-0, 6-4-0 AHC) travels to Rochester, N.Y., for a two-game series with the RIT Tigers (6-4-1, 4-2-1 AHC), Friday-Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1 in Rochester, N.Y.
Air Force is in third place in the AHC, three points ahead of fifth-place RIT.

Scouting the Tigers: RIT is in fifth place in the AHC with nine points. The Tigers are 6-4-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the league. RIT fell to 13th-ranked Northeastern, 4-3, last Saturday in Boston. RIT led 3-2 midway through the third period, but the Huskies scored twice for a 4-3 win. Senior forward Abbott Girduckis leads the team with 11 points. Senior Erik Brown leads the team six goals. Sophomore Logan Drackett has started all 11 games in goal. He leads the league with a .927 saves percentage and is second in the AHC with a 2.17 GAA.

Trending: Air Force's five -game winning streak ended on Nov. 16 at AIC ... The streak was the longest since early in the 2016-17 season and was the second longest in the nation ... Air Force was shutout in both games at AIC, marking just the second time in school history that has happened in a conference series ... Series vs. RIT: Air Force leads the all-time series vs. RIT, 30-21-4. The Falcons took three of four last season, splitting a series at the Academy and winning a pair in Rochester. Air Force has won seven of the last eight against RIT. Six of the last eight games have been decided by one goal. Both Air Force and RIT joined Atlantic Hockey in 2006 and, since then, the teams have played 46 times. Air Force has won 26, RIT has won 17 and three have ended in a tie.
