Track and Field to Host Air Force Invitational

The Falcons will host the Combined Events (Jan. 24), before beginning the full meet on Jan. 25.
The home track and field schedule continues for Air Force this week, as the Falcons host a pair of competitions at the Cadet Field House. The multi-event athletes open the three-day homestand with the Air Force Combined Events Meet on Thursday (Jan. 24), while the rest of the squad competes in the annual Air Force Invitational on Friday (Jan. 25) and Saturday (Jan. 26).
MEET INFORMATION
The Air Force Combined Events Meet and Air Force Invitational will be held at the Academy's Cadet Field House. A tentative schedule of events is listed below for both meets. Admission will be free on Thursday and Friday, while Saturday will be free until 1:00 p.m. – fans arriving after the ticket office opens for the women's basketball game will be required to purchase basketball admission for $8/adults or $5/children. Live results will be available via GoAirForceFalcons.com, while Air Force's in-meet updates will be available on the team's official Twitter and Instagram accounts (@af_trackfield for both).

RHOADS EARNS MOUNTAIN WEST WEEKLY AWARD
After clocking the fourth-fastest 800-meter time in the nation last weekend, Michael Rhoads was named the Mountain West Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 22. It is the first weekly award for the junior, who posted an altitude-adjusted time of 1:50.17a to win the 800-meter event and account for a new Meet Record at the Air Force Team Challenge.
