
Air Force Falls To Loyola Marymount At Junkanoo Jam

BIMINI, Bahamas - Air Force men's basketball dropped a 78-64 contest to Loyola Marymount Thursday afternoon at the Junkanoo Jam at Gateway Christian Academy in Bimini, Bahamas. The Falcons dropped to 2-3 on the season.
Loyola Marymount (2-2) pounded the ball inside all game, out-scoring the Falcons 42-24 in the paint. In addition, the Lions connected on nine three's and shot a blistering 62.5 percent from the field.
Air Force hung close early into the second half, before LMU began to pull away. Ivan Alipiev scored 18 points and Parker Dortch added 17. Eli Scott scored 16 points and dishout out nine assists.
AJ Walker led Air Force with 18 points, connecting on four three's. Both were season high's. Lavelle Scottie added 16 points and five rebounds. Abe Kinrade scored eight points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in his first-career start. Chris Joyce added eight points.
Mason Taylor and Nikc Jackson scored their first-career points for the Falcons. Freshmen Jackson, Carter Murphy, Solomon Pierre-Louis and Camden Vander Zwaag made their collegiate debuts for Air Force.
Air Force returns to action at the Junkanoo Jam Friday, taking on Duquesne. Tip time is 6:30 pm ET.
