Air Force Men’s Tennis Competes at Veterans Day College Challenge

Air Force men's tennis completed day one action Friday at the Veterans Day College Challenge at the Army and Navy Club in Washington, DC. The Falcons competed against Army and Georgetown.

The Falcons picked up three wins on the day, coming from senior Mack Galvin and freshman Justin Waldman. Galvin and Waldman both won in singles and also teamed up for a doubles win. Galvin defeated Myles Conlin of Army in singles, 7-5, 7-5. Waldman defeated Connor Lee of Georgetown 6-2, 7-6, 9-7. In doubles, the duo defeated Rohan Kamdar/Andrew Rozanov of Georgetown 6-4.

Senior Santiago Garcia, junior Sean McKendree, sophomore Alex Krawietz and freshman Jason Wild also competed for the Falcons. Garcia fell to Kamdar of Georgetown 6-2, 6-3. McKendree fell to AJ Woodman of Army 6-4, 6-4. Krawietz fell to Thomas Lake of Army 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles Garcia and McKendree fell to Conlin/Woodman 6-3. Krawietz and freshman Jason Wild fell to David Gorshein/Samuel Eden of Army 6-2. Wild competed in his first collegiate match.

Day two of the three-day event resumes tomorrow.
