"Breaking the 12 match win streak by the 2011 team was awesome," Air Force head coach Kim Gidley said. "Everyone that traveled on this trip competed and won, so it was a complete team effort in the historic wins. With a lot of road travel, this team has handled some great adversity. The second match of the day was against a Washburn team that just kept coming back at us. It was fun to be in a battle and have to deal with the pressure with different players in and out of the lineup. Having been in challenging situations is what this team has come through week after week."
Air Force returns to action tomorrow, taking on Rockhurst.
