Air Force Travels to California for Four Meets

The Falcons will represent the Academy at four meets in three cities during their three-day SoCal trip.
The Air Force track and field team heads to southern California for a busy weekend of competition. During a three-day span, the Falcons will represent the Academy at the Mt. SAC Relays (April 18-20), the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 18), the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19) and the Beach Invitational (April 19-20).
MEET INFORMATION | MT SAC RELAYS
The Mt SAC Relays, which runs from April 18-20, will be held at Murdock Stadium on the campus of El Camino College in Torrance. Admission includes a three-day pass for $20 (all ages) and single-day adult tickets for $10 (Thursday), $12 (Friday) and $15 (Saturday). Live stats will be available via RecordTiming.com.
MEET INFORMATION | PACIFIC COAST INTERCOLLEGIATE, BEACH INVITATIONAL
The Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 18) and Beach Invitational (April 19-20) will both be held at Jack Rose Track on the campus of Long Beach State. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for youth (3-12) and seniors (60+). Both meets will feature live results via RoyalResults.com.
MEET INFORMATION | BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
The Bryan Clay Invitational, which will host a handful of Falcons in the 1500-meter run on April 19, will be held at Cougar Athletic Stadium on the campus of Azusa Pacific University. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Live results will be available through FinishedResults.com, while FloTrack will broadcast the meet through its subscription service.

A LOOK AT THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Highlighted by Jacob Bilvado holding the fifth-fastest 5000-meter time in the NCAA at 13:47, 65, Air Force athletes are currently listed among the nation's top 40 in four events. Lindsey Blanks is ranked 18th in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:17.72), while Sedacy Walden and Maria Mettler are listed 35th in the 400-meter dash (46.35) and 5000-meter run (16:17.17), respectively. Kathryn Tomczak rounds out the Falcons' list of top-40 athletes, as she holds a No. 36 placement in the pole vault (13'6¼").

Former Academy standout Ben Payne (Class of 2004) was one of the top 10 American finishers at the Boston Marathon on April 17 (2:18).
COMING UP
After a busy weekend of four meets in three cities, the Falcons slow down next week for just a pair of competitions. Part of the squad will head to Des Moines, Iowa, for the 110th-annual Drake Relays on April 25-27, while the remainder of the team returns to Fort Collins for the Jack Christiansen Invitational on April 26-27.
