
Air Force Splits for a Pair of Competitions

Three Falcons will compete at the Jim Click Decathlon, while the rest head to the CU Invitational.
The Air Force track and field team returns to competition this week for a pair of meets. A trio of multi-event athletes will kick off the Falcons' three-day stretch of action at the Jim Click Decathlon in Tucson, Ariz., on April 4-5, while the remainder of the squad makes a return trip to Boulder for the annual Colorado Invitational on April 5-6.
KICKING OFF THE WEEK
Tyler Gurchiek, Wyatt Murphy and Matthew Walters will represent the Falcons at the Jim Click Decathlon in Tucson. The two-day meet, which will take place at Roy P. Drachman Stadium on the University of Arizona campus, will begin at 11:00 a.m. (MST) on Thursday, April 4, and 10:00 a.m. (MST) on Friday, April 5. MEET INFORMATION | COLORADO INVITATIONAL
The Colorado Invitational will be held at Potts Field on the University of Colorado's East campus. A complete list of events is listed below. Live results are scheduled to be available (a direct link is available on the Falcons' schedule page) and Air Force highlights will be available on the team's Twitter account (@af_trackfield). Admission is $8 for all spectators on Saturday and be advised that CU has a "clear bag policy" at all athletic events.

FRIDAY – 3:00 p.m.: Women's Hammer Throw, Men's Hammer Throw; 3:00 p.m.: Men's Javelin Throw, Women's Javelin Throw; 3:00 p.m.: Men's Triple Jump, Women's Triple Jump; SATURDAY – 11:00 a.m.: Men's Shot Put, Women's Shot Put; 11:00 a.m.: Women's Discus Throw, Men's Discus Throw; 11:00 a.m.: Men's Long Jump, Women's Long Jump; 11:00 a.m.: Women's High Jump, Men's High Jump; 11:00 a.m.: Men's Pole Vault, Women's Pole Vault; 11:00 a.m.: 3000-Meter Steeplechase, 4x100-Meter Relay, 1500-Meter Run, 110-/100-Meter Hurdles, 400-Meter Dash, 100-Meter Dash, 800-Meter Run, 400-Meter Hurdles, 200-Meter Dash, 3000-Meter Run, 4x400-Meter Relay (men compete first in all running events, a final schedule will be released once entries close)
BILVADO EARNS WEEKLY CONFERENCE HONOR
After recording the fifth-fastest 5000-meter time in the NCAA, Jacob Bilvado was named the Mountain West Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on April 2. The senior recorded a time of 13:47.65 to finish fourth out of 21 runners in the Elite section of the Stanford Invitational. That time – the third-fastest in Academy history – leads the conference by more than six seconds and is the fastest time to date in the West Qualifying Region.
