
Koch, Serratore named AHC Student-Athletes of the Year

Fourteen Falcons earn academic all-conference honors
U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force's Matt Koch and Matt Serratore, graduated this past May, were named Atlantic Hockey Conference student-athletes of the year for posting a 4.0 grade point average in both semesters of the 2018-19 season, as announced today by the league office.
Koch and Serratore are the first Falcons to earn Atlantic Hockey student-athlete of the year honors. They also join Scott Bradley (CHA, 2001), Brian Gornick (CHA, 2002), Mike Polidor (CHA, 2004) and Brooks Turnquist (CHA, 2006) as conference student athletes.
Fourteen Falcons were named to the Atlantic Hockey all-academic team, tied as the third most in school history. To qualify for the team, an individual must post a 3.0 GPA or better in all academic semesters in which his team was actively competing.
Representing Air Force on the AHC all-academic team are: graduated seniors Dan Bailey, Billy Christopoulos, Evan Feno, Evan Giesler, Kyle Haak, Matt Koch and Matt Serratore; rising seniors Pierce Pluemer and Brady Tomlak; rising junior Max Harper and rising sophomores Kieran Durgan, Carter Ekberg, Tyler Jutting and Jensen Zerban.
Christopoulos, Feno, Haak, Koch and Serratore have all been named to the team all four years while Pluemer has been honored for the three time. Bailey, Giesler and Harper were honored for the second time while Tomlak, Durgan, Ekberg, Jutting and Zerban were named to the team for the first time in their career.
