
Men’s Tennis Downs Bryant 7-0

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis opened its second weekend of competition with a convincing 7-0 win over Bryant Friday evening at the indoor tennis courts. The Falcons improved to 4-0 on the season with the win.
With the win, the Falcons avenged a 4-3 loss to Bryant from two years back.
Air Force started off by taking the doubles point with wins at No. 3 and 2 doubles. The No. 3 doubles group of Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree defeated Ortiz-Garcia/Corrado 6-3 for the first doubles win. After Jamie Bautista and Paul Hendrix fell at No. 1 doubles, Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman won at No. 2 over Schou/Pertile 6-4 to claim the doubles point.
In singles, the Falcons won all six matches with five being won in two sets.
Hendrix opened with a win at No. 1 singles over Trent Massam 6-1, 6-4. Azuma then won at No. 3 over Grant Pertile 6-4, 6-2.
Galvin won the third singles match at No. 2 over Teague Burger 6-2, 7-5. Waldman then rallied back at No. 4 in three sets to win over Andrew Pregel 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
At No. 5 singles, Bautista defeated Andrew Forchetti 6-1, 6-1. McKendree then won at No. 6 over Anshumat Srivastava 7-6, 6-2.
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Jan. 25, hosting Northern Colorado beginning at 11 am MT.
