Men’s Tennis Defeats Northern Colorado 5-2

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis defeated Northern Colorado 5-2 Saturday morning at the indoor tennis courts. The Falcons improved to 5-0 on the season with the win.
The Falcons opened with a sweep of doubles to take the point. Jamie Bautista and Paul Hendrix won at No. 1 doubles over Pudney/Kenzlers 6-2. Jordan Azuma and Justin Waldman won at No. 2 over Giesberts/Arroyo 6-2. Mack Galvin and Sean McKendree won at No. 3 over Pease/Wade 6-3.
In singles, the Falcons went 4-2 with all four wins coming in two sets.
Hendrix won at No. 1 singles over Kyle Pease 6-2, 6-3 and then Waldman defeated John Giesberts at No. 4 6-3, 6-2. After a setback at No. 3 singles, Galvin won at No. 2 over Adolfo Arroyo, 7-5, 7-5 for the fourth point. The Falcons also picked up a win at No. 6 singles with McKendree defeating Nick Wade 6-2, 6-3.
Air Force returns to action Sunday, Jan. 26, hosting Weber State beginning at 9 am MT.
