- Seattle guard Nate Robinson played against Air Force in 2018-19 as a member of the South Dakota basketball team, playing five minutes in the game, which took place at the Bimini Jam in Bimini, Bahamas.

- Air Force enters its 65th season of basketball.
- Joe Scott returns to the helm as Air Force basketball head coach in 2020-21. Scott was Air Force's head coach from 2000-04, culminating with the program's first-ever Mountain West MBB title in 2003-04.
- Scott is the first Mountain West coach with two tenures at the same program (during MW era).
- Air Force opens its home slate on Saturday, Dec. 5, hosting Lamar. The Falcons were supposed to open the home season Dec. 2, against Denver, but the game was postponed due to covid cases within the DU program.
